Logistics Innovation Summit 2025 in Brussels

We took part in the Logistics Innovation Summit 2025, organized by ALICE – Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe (ETP LOGISTICS) in Brussels. The event brought together key experts and practitioners from across Europe to review one year of progress in implementing the EGUM recommendations for urban logistics.

During the session “From EGUM Recommendations to Practice: One Year of Progress in Urban Logistics?”, the GreenTurn Project Coordinator, Bartosz Kożuch from Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology, presented the results of research on consumer behaviour in e-commerce. The analysis, based on over 5,000 surveys conducted across five European countries, helped to better understand what motivates – and what limits – consumers in choosing sustainable delivery options.

The presentation demonstrated how behavioural data can inspire citizen-centered innovation and support the transformation of urban logistics towards greater sustainability.

The session was moderated by Wiebke Müller (EIT Urban Mobility) and opened by Paola Chiarini (European Commission, DG MOVE). The panel also featured representatives of the Shift2Zero, DECARBOMILE, LogE-Hubs, UNCHAIN, and URBANE projects, who presented examples of implementing innovative, low-emission solutions in urban delivery systems.

We would like to thank all GreenTurn consortium partners for their ongoing collaboration and contributions to the project’s development – especially the teams from the University of the Aegean and Rijksuniversiteit Groningen for their joint work on behavioural modelling and digital communication strategies.

Participation in the Logistics Innovation Summit 2025 was an excellent opportunity to present our research results at the European level and to exchange experiences with leading innovators in the field of sustainable urban logistics.
