On 11–12 September, the GreenTurn partners met on the Greek island of Chios for the project’s General Assembly. The two-day meeting was an opportunity to review progress to date and jointly define the next steps, marking the transition from research to practical tools and pilot actions that will support more sustainable last-mile delivery in Europe.
Discussions focused on the project’s outcomes so far, including consumer personas, customer journeys, behavioural patterns and communication strategies. Partners also presented initial business models, a KPI framework and insights from interviews with European cities, including the five chosen for pilots. Looking ahead, the consortium outlined the upcoming phases: physical and digital pilot testing, multi-dimensional impact assessments (operational, economic, environmental and social) and consumer awareness campaigns.
Two co-creation workshops formed a central part of the Assembly. The first addressed pilots and MVPs, presenting the current scope of each pilot and working collaboratively to refine objectives, align activities and identify success factors. The second explored the design of a toolkit for local authorities, focusing on how it can help cities strengthen strategies, ensure better data, improve logistics solutions and foster dialogue with delivery stakeholders.
Thanks to the commitment and contributions of all partners, GreenTurn is moving decisively from the research phase towards implementation of tangible tools and pilots with the potential to transform last-mile delivery across Europe.
